Town of Hvar
The city of Hvar is a unique fusion of luxurious Mediterranean nature, rich cultural and historical heritage, and mundane, tourist present.

It is situated in picturesque nature, facing the southern, side of the world that has given it all Mediterranean attraction and cheerfulness; facing sea, that gave it splendid and repeatable history, Hvar is an inexhaustible treasury of the scenery, atmosphere and adventure.

Its name derives from the Greek name for island and town, that stood where today Stari Grad (Hvar became an island’s centre in 13th century) stands – PHAROS.

Hvar gained glory and power during middle ages being an important port within the Venetian, naval empire. Today, it is centre of island’s tourism and one of the favourite destinations in Dalmatian riviera – a town of smiling and courteous people, who are almost only dedicated to tourism.

Island of Hvar

The island of Hvar is the queen of the Croatian Dalmatian islands. It has been famous since the antique because of its important strategic and nautical position, the rich of the various historical periods, the culture and natural monuments and the literature.
Thanks to the mild climate, the warm winters and pleasant summers Hvar receives many guests, scientists and travellers, who are attracted by the dense mediterranean nature, rich tradition and arhitecture, and nightlife.

Lately, the worldvide celebrities are coming here to see what is it about. And what is Hvar really about?
While separation from the mainland can sometimes be a handicap, it also provides some protection from the factory chimneys and other misfortunes which come with civilisation. Instead, there are vast fields of lavender, ancient olive trees and vineyards, in immaculate harmony between man and nature.
There are wine and olives, so a guest wishing to get closer to nature will stop at a small inn (Hvar “konoba”) rather than a top quality restaurant. He will taste real home-made wine instead of some famous sparkling wine, he will sing the old island songs and forget the monotony of the everyday routine. Every guest is really a Guest here.

Milna

Milna is a small tourist village on the southern coast of the island, situated just 4 km away from Hvar town. Milna is an ideal summer destination for families with children and for people who want to enjoy by sea.
There is eight excellent restaurants, a mini market, a pastry shop and a kiosk with daily newspapers. On the ground floor of Juka’s house there is also bakery that offers delicious, fresh bread and various pastries.
Rocky but accessible coast and three pebble beaches gives you a opportunity to find your place under the sun, and if youwould like to enjoy in more freedom and peace, nudist beach is located just a short walk from the villlage.
For those who crave adrenaline there is climbing rock as well as numerious hiking trails just narby.
In Milna you can rent a scooter, car, bike or boat to explore charms of the island.
